Twitter, Rss Feeds, etc....
Goodness, Twitter is not a user friendly as Facebook to me. I was lost after following several government agencies on Twitter. RSS Feeds lost me when I hit the subscribe button. Yikes, this is going to take some time!

Personal Brand
Not quite sure what to write. I hope my online image matches my professional image, matches my farm life image, matches my "mom" image, matches my wife image, ...hoping all are much the same. I am what I am I'd like to project an image of dignity, being honest, moral and friendly in all areas of my life. Not just project the image, but live such a life.

Why the 23 Things?
I guess I might need 23 more things in my life! This is my first time blogging. My dad, at age 78, has been blogging for years. Much like Face Book, I thought I might be able to live without blogging. Face Book came about because my patrons in the library were constantly on the social network, so I thought it would be a good idea to know something about it.
Now, today, I have received an email from the State Library about this 23 Thing for Professional Development course. It sounded very interesting. I've been teaching a beginning computer class for our community and feel as though I am just touching the surface of the technology that is out there. I need to know more. My whole goal in teaching these computer classes is to get our area of the world caught up with technology. We are in a place where some people still only receive "dial-up" internet service and are afraid to surf the web. Most don't have a computer in their homes and depend on our library for the most current technology, which we don't have. However, I am working on that part as well.
Do I need 23 more things in my life? Let's see...I've a husband, two teenage boys (who would love this class) and 30 milking cows outside of my position here at the library. I'm game for 23 more things. Bring it on!
